Are you too stiff for the perfect model walk?
The problem with walking
One of the most important basics for a successful model is above all one thing and that is:
Body awareness and a self-confident appearance!
However, many are far too stiff around the middle of the body and so it becomes difficult to become successful on the catwalk. Movement from the hips is of great importance for an aesthetic overall image and this is exactly where the problem lies for many aspiring models. They lack the feeling for the right hip and leg movement as well as control over the entire torso. This quickly leads to insecurities in one's own appearance, which in turn shows in one's face and charisma. This can lead to a decrease in the chances of getting coveted jobs on the catwalk, and models with greater self-confidence and better movements are preferred.
How to finally get more loose around the hips
Training with our Hoopomania Hula Hoop has many advantages. The rhythmic movements can loosen the hips, train the abdomen and strengthen the connective tissue. Over time, you learn how to move your hips correctly to keep the hoop up, which in turn can increase your control over your own body enormously. If you practice steadily, you can feel an improvement almost every day, both physically and mentally. So that eventually you can walk the catwalk with confidence, with the right swing around your hips, and wow the customers. There is also no age limit for Hulahoop training. Everyone has the opportunity to learn how to hulahoop with a little practice and to benefit from the advantages. No matter if you are 15 years old or already 80.
How to get started with Hula Hoop Training
If you have a stiff hip when modelling, you probably won't be able to hold the hula hoop straight up the first time. However, this is just a matter of practice and with just a few minutes a day you can reach your goal. So this is no reason for disappointment.
When you start, make sure that your legs are placed step-width apart so that you have the perfect balance for swinging and turning. Now hold the hoop with both hands at the sides, start at the lower back and start swinging the hoop. The movement of the hips should not be circular, but from left to right or from right to left (please always practise both directions). The movements should be controlled and not hectic. The first swing with the hands should be done in such a way that the hula hoop already swings around the hips a few times by itself, so that you can find your way into the movement more easily. It is not important which clothes are worn when doing the Hula Hoop and the practice can be done in sports or everyday clothes. A belt should be avoided, as this only presses unnecessarily. Many people find it easier to start out without a belly, as this allows the hoop to adhere better to the skin. In the end, it depends on how you feel. At the beginning you hula hoop for 2-5 minutes daily on each side, so your body can slowly get used to it. After a few days and as soon as the Hula Hoop can be held up without problems, the training can be increased to 15-30 minutes per day.
Choosing the right Hoopomania Hula Hoop
If you not only want to loosen up your hips, but also benefit directly from other advantages, you should choose one of our massage hoops. The massage nubs tighten the connective tissue and the higher weight of these hoops puts more strain on the muscles. This not only improves your walk, but also gives you a great workout.
The table below gives a rough guide as to which hoop is the right one to start with and makes the choice easier. An overview of all massage hoops can be found here: massage hoops
